GenoGlobe.com이라는 내 도메인의 취지를 설명하는 문구로서 오랫동안 Learning from Lives라는 표현을 써 왔다. 나는 이를 다양한 생명체(삶)이라는 의미로 쓰고자 하였는데, 영어권에서는 전혀 그러한 의미로 전달되지 않는다고 한다. 문법적으로는 오류가 없다고 믿었는데 그렇지도 않다고 한다('ungrammatical in context').
